A central pillar of Yulia’s ongoing artistic development is her work with Dale Fundling, an outstanding vocal coach and pianist, widely recognized for his command of vocal style and musical depth. Among his best-known students are the world-famous mezzo-soprano Elīna Garanča and the world-famous tenor Piotr Beczała—artists whose careers represent the highest international standards of technique, style, and musical intelligence.
Yulia is a laureate and finalist of several competitions, including the Jean Sibelius Opera Competition, Star Rhapsody, Great Silk Road, and St. Petersburg in the Mirror of World Musical Culture, and she was also a finalist of the International B. T. Shtokolov Vocal Competition. These distinctions reflect the strength of her training, the clarity of her artistic direction, and a consistently professional approach focused on building a sustained operatic career.
Her stage profile is lyric coloratura soprano. Her repertoire moves naturally between bel canto, Mozart, French repertoire, and Russian opera, guided by stylistic authenticity, clarity of musical line, and emotionally truthful stage presence. In parallel with her operatic work, she has developed broad performance experience across diverse formats, including operatic and dramatic productions, numerous solo concerts, and appearances with both classical symphony orchestras and ensembles performing on traditional folk instruments.
